What is a Survivor Pool?

An NFL survivor pool (also known as an NFL elimination pool) is a fantasy football game where you pick one NFL team to win each week. The catch? You can only use each team once per season, and if your pick loses and you have 0 lives remaining, you're eliminated! The last players to survive, win!

How It Works: Step by Step

Join or Create a League

Start by joining an existing league with friends or creating your own.Invite players. Leagues start Week 1 of the NFL season.

Make Your Weekly Pick

Each week, select one NFL team you believe will win their game. Remember, you can only use each team once for the entire season!

Watch the Games

Follow your team's game with extra excitement! Every play matters when your survival in the pool depends on the outcome.

Survive or Get Eliminated

If your team wins, you advance to the next week. If they lose or tie, you lose a life. If you have no lives remaining, you're out! It's that simple!

Last Player Standing Wins

Continue picking each week until only one player remains. Or, if multiple players are eliminated the same week and no players remain.

Example: A Season Journey
(Players start with 2 Lives)

Week 1:Pick Buffalo ✅ - They win! You advance.

Week 2:Pick San Francisco ✅ - They win! Still alive.

Week 3:Pick Kansas City ✅ - Close game, but they win!

Week 4:Pick Dallas ❌ - Upset loss! You have 1 life remaining.

Week 5:Pick Philadelphia ✅ - Blow out win!

Week 6:Pick Washington ❌ - Oh no, a second loss! You're eliminated.

You can't use Buffalo, SF, KC, Dallas, or Philly again - each team only once!

Some people recommend avoiding using all the best teams early. They say you'll need reliable picks for later weeks when options are limited... but what if you never even get to the later weeks?

📅 Plan for Bye Weeks

Track when teams have bye weeks. Using a team before their bye gives you more total options.

🎲 Which Favorites Are On The Road?

Road teams, even favorites, are riskier. Home field advantage matters in the NFL.

🌦️ Weather

Location, time of season, stadium type (dome?) and the away team's normal weather environment can all impact a games outcome.
